Important Information Before You Travel to Lithuania

Please read the information below carefully before planning your arrival.

You cannot move into the dormitory immediately after arriving in Lithuania.

To apply for a accommodation place, you must first complete the following steps:

1. Arrive at Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution
2. Sign your Study Agreement.
3. Receive your official KVK student email account.
4. Submit the accommodation application form using your official KVK email address.

Applications sent from personal email accounts (such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) are not processed.

If you arrive in Lithuania before receiving a dormitory place, you are responsible for arranging and paying for your own temporary accommodation (hotel, hostel, guest house, apartment, or other accommodation) until a room in the dormitory becomes available.

How to Apply for a Dormitory

The application process is completed only after you become an official KVK student.

Step 1 – Sign Your Study Agreement

After arriving at Klaipėda State College, you must sign your Study Agreement.

Step 2 – Activate Your Official KVK Email

Once your Study Agreement has been signed, you will receive your official KVK student email account.

Step 3 – Submit Your Application

Complete the dormitory application form and send it only from your official KVK email account.

Applications sent from personal email addresses cannot be accepted or processed.

Step 4 – Wait for Confirmation

Your application will be reviewed according to room availability.

If a room is available, you will receive confirmation and further instructions.

If all rooms are occupied, your application will be placed on the waiting list.

Before You Book Your Flight

Please make sure you understand the accommodation process before travelling to Lithuania.

✔ You cannot apply for a dormitory before signing your Study Agreement.

✔ You cannot apply before receiving your official KVK email account.

✔ You cannot move directly into the dormitory immediately after arriving in Lithuania.

✔ You may need to arrange temporary accommodation for the first days or weeks of your stay.

✔ A dormitory room is confirmed only after your application has been reviewed and a place becomes available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I apply for a dormitory before arriving in Lithuania?

No. The application can only be submitted after you have signed your Study Agreement and received your official KVK student email account.

Can I send my application from my personal Gmail account?

No. Dormitory applications are accepted only from the official KVK student email account.

Can I move directly into the dormitory after arriving in Lithuania?

No. First you must complete the admission procedure at Klaipėda State College, receive your official KVK email account, and submit your dormitory application.

What should I do if I do not have a dormitory place yet?

You should arrange temporary accommodation at your own expense until a room becomes available.

What happens if there are no available rooms?

Your application will be placed on the waiting list. You will be informed when a room becomes available.

Dormitory Application Procedure

Students of Klaipeda State College who have signed their Study Agreement and wish to live in a student dormitory may apply for accommodation.

Applications are accepted only from the official College email address provided to the student (…@kvkedu.lt).

Dormitory places are allocated according to the date and time the application is received, subject to the availability of vacant places.

If no places are available, the student’s application will remain on the waiting list according to its submission order. Once a place becomes available, the student will be informed by email about the earliest possible accommodation date.

If a student declines the offered dormitory place, the application becomes invalid, and the place is offered to the next student on the waiting list.

How to Apply:

• The application must be sent only from the student’s official College email address (…@kvkedu.lt). · The completed application form must be emailed to j.pekautiene@kvk.lt.

After submitting the application, the student will receive one of the following responses:

• “Dormitory place granted”; or
•  “Registered on the waiting list.”

Information Provided to Students Who Receive a Dormitory Place

Students who are offered accommodation will receive a confirmation email containing the following information:

• accommodation date and time;
• dormitory address;
• monthly accommodation fee;
• security deposit amount;
• other important information related to moving into the dormitory.

Students who cannot be offered accommodation due to the lack of available places will be placed on the waiting list. As soon as a place becomes available, they will be informed by email.
