Welcome to the Wellbeing Place of Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija!

Welcome to the Wellbeing Place
Take your time and enjoy the beauty of the seaside park. Look at the plants and flowers around you, listen to the rustling of the trees or the sound of the wind, watch the birds. Pay attention to the beauty of nature and the peaceful atmosphere. Release your thoughts and relax your body. Take a moment to be with yourself. Breathe deeply and immerse yourself in nature with all your senses. Allow yourself to relax and take this feeling of relaxation with you into your daily life.
What is wellbeing tourism?

We all want to feel good – especially on vacation. It is important for us to be aware of one thing: our vacations affect more than just us. Wellbeing tourism encompasses the intention to do good now and, in the future, and to have a positive impact on people – guests and hosts – the environment and the planet. When you do good – you feel good and achieve a state called wellbeing. Let harmony, mindfulness and balance become part of your wellbeing vacation.

Wellbeing Places

can also be found in other countries in the southern Baltic Sea region, such as Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Lithuania, and Poland.

Wellbeing Tourism is a sustainable tourism that supports harmony and balance for body, mind, and soul. (Lindell, L. (ed.), Dmitrzak, M., Dziadkiewicz, A.,Jönsson, P.M., Jurkiene, A., et al. 2022. Good practices in Wellbeing tourism. Innovative and conscious entrepreneurship development in accommodation, gastronomy, products, services, & places. Linnaeus university. Växjö-Kalmar)

Wellbeing & wellness are fast growing trends in tourism. SB WELL aims at promoting SB coastline as attractive destination for wellbeing tourism among regional/international potential visitors. The project recognizes the opportunities & facilitates SMEs in offering products/services in wellbeing tourism and makes related information visible & accessible for target market.

The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2014–2020.

Goal

SB WELL foresees some infrastructure works. In each region participating in the Project a Wellbeing place will be constructed. These places will be dedicated to silence and connected to the landscape and are a new type of places that will symbolize increased focus on sustainability and wellbeing for visitors & the host region in the tourism industry.

SB WELL will directly result in increased awareness among potential visitors on what SB region has to offer with regard to wellbeing/clear branding of the coastal region as a competitive actor on the global market. In turn this will lead to increased development as well as popularity of the SB’s natural & cultural heritage assets into tourism destinations.
