The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education conducted an external assessment of performance of Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija / Higher Education Institution (KVK). With the help of the Center, an international group of experts prepared the conclusions of the evaluation, in which the performance of KVK was evaluated positively.

The performance of the higher education institution was assessed in four areas Management, Quality Assurance, Studies and Research, Activities and Impact on Regional and National Development. According to two areas (quality and impact on the region), KVK is rated very well, which shows that the area is very good in the national context and in the international space, without any shortcomings. According to the other two areas (studies and science and management), KVK is rated well, which shows that the area is being developed systematically, without major shortcomings. This is an extremely high result in the Lithuanian college sector. Based on these conclusions of international experts, KVK is accredited for a maximum period of seven years.

“The very good results of the external evaluation confirm that our  institution implements high-quality higher education studies at the international level and successfully carries out scientific activities. These results show that KVK is a mature organization with sustainable development, has all the possibilities and is ready to implement changes. The results of the external evaluation of the institution will serve the further development and improvement of the organization”, asserted Gražina Markvaldiene, Director of KVK.

The external evaluation and accreditation of Lithuanian higher education institutions aims to ensure the supervision of the quality of studies, to measure the overall quality of the higher education institution’s activities and the efficiency of the use of funds.
