Each member of the Klaipedos valstybine kolegija (KVK) community is provided with a unique username, a personal institutional email address, and a temporary password. These credentials are required to access the College’s computers, most systems, and other IT resources. User accounts are created after the necessary information is received from the relevant administrative departments, and the login details are sent to the personal email addresses provided to the College.
Usernames and email addresses for KVK systems
A student’s username consists of the first three letters of their first name, followed by a full stop and their surname. For example, the username of a student named Vardas Studentaitis would be var.studentaitis. The institutional email address consists of the username followed by @kvkedu.lt, for example: var.studentaitis@kvkedu.lt.
If usernames of employees or students would otherwise be identical, a digit is added to the username and email address to make them unique.
The assigned username remains unchanged throughout the entire period of study and/or employment. Only the first name and surname displayed across the systems may be updated. Additional email addresses may also be assigned to a user of KVK systems when necessary.
Temporary Password
Temporary passwords for student accounts consist of 10 randomly generated characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers. For example: tuT1G78n0V.
First Login
You can start using the College’s electronic resources with the login credentials you have received. However, we recommend changing your password. You can do this here. Password security tips are available on this website.
