Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. 

Who can become an Erasmus+ student?

  • All full time students at KVK who have no academic debt and has completed the first academic year;
  • Motivated to study / practice abroad;
  • Has not spent more than 12 months in the Erasmus + programme.

How to become an Erasmus+ student?

  • Fill in online application form or contact Ina Berenytė, Specialist at the International Relations Department, i.berenyte@kvk.lt.
  • Participate in Erasmus+ selection, which takes place 2 times a year: February / March and September / October.

Conditions for Erasmus+ studies:

  • Students may only go to the institutions that KVK has signed exchange agreements with. Duration of studies in the partner institution is from 3 to 12 months.
  • The study period abroad will be recognised as an integral part of the study programme at KVK.
  • All the credits and grades gained at the host institution will receive full academic recognition at KVK.
  • No fees (tuition, registration, exams, or access to libraries or laboratories) have to be paid to the host university, except for some minor charges, e.g., insurance, a student union fee, the use of copying and print services and etc. 

 Conditions for Erasmus+ traineeship:

  • The traineeship period may take 2 to 12 months.
  • For the Erasmus+ traineeship, student may go to an institution of higher education (IHE) awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education or a company/organisation in any of the countries-participants of the programme (the EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Turkey, and North Macedonia).
  • Erasmus+ traineeship may not take place in IHE or companies/organisations in Lithuania.
  • After graduation traineeship - A graduated student can participate at Erasmus+ traineeship during one year after graduation the KVK. Your traineeship must specialty your qualifications and study programme.  After traineeship, the student must complete all documents with the International Relations Department. The total period of study and the period of graduates' trainseeship can not exceed 12 months. All documents (i.e., grant agreement, learning agreement) must be signed before graduation. You must have a exact traineeship placement that can not be changed after finishing your studies.

Grant:

  • Each selected student receives an ERASMUS + grant. to cover the travel and accommodation expenses. However, it does not cover all the mobility-related expenses.
  • The ERASMUS + student does not pay any tuition fees to a higher education institution (hosting institution) (except amounts for certain costs, such as insurance, accommodation, copying, etc.).
  • Students participating in traineeship mobility must insure themselves and submit a copy to the International Relations Department.
  • Students may also go with the Erasmus+ zero grant:  it means they are not provided with funding from Erasmus+, however, are given the status of an Erasmus student (as well as all related privileges and responsibilities).
