The project addresses various needs and risks present in vocational training centres, such as the high cost of materials and a lack of space or resources for practical learning. To overcome these obstacles, Virtual Reality (VR) will be utilized to provide a safe and realistic environment for practice, effectively simulating equipment, materials, scenarios, and protocols. This digital transformation of learning will require students to develop their digital skills and teaching staff to create an innovative learning environment. Additionally, students will actively contribute to the project by testing the virtual scenarios. The project also seeks to improve the synergy between educational and internship centres, ensuring that students are better prepared for the working environment. By providing well-qualified and competent students, the project aims to support companies and institutions in the healthcare field, which currently face organizational stress.
Goal
The Learning Bridge project aims to bring about change in Vocational Training through methodological advancements and digital innovation.
Results and outcomes
Project results:
- Virtual reality and 360º video training content for healthcare and social assistance students.
- A digital learning platform that allows VR content to be integrated into formal and informal learning processes.
- Training materials and methodological guidelines for teachers on how to apply innovative technologies in the education process.
- Development of students’ practical skills through simulated, realistic learning situations.
- Strengthening partnerships between vocational training institutions, higher education institutions, and labour market participants.
Added value:
The project will enable students to acquire practical skills in a safe virtual environment, thus reducing the gap between theory and practice. This will increase their readiness for the labour market, promote higher quality training, and ensure the application of innovative and modern methods in vocational education.
