Using this content, the aim is to offer wound care training for health professionals, health students and health teachers/academics on digital platforms. Launch a process of accessible educational services in this field, shared at EU and Ukrainian level.

Goal

The aim of the project is to successfully develop a digital wound care curriculum and tools specific to the topic of health vocational training

Results and outcomes

Project results

  • Online training courses, seminars, and workshops – digital and live learning activities designed to increase the knowledge and understanding of wound care among healthcare professionals, students, and patients.
  • Simulation and virtual reality training – tools developed to improve practical wound care skills, providing an opportunity to safely gain experience in real-life situations.
  • E-learning resources – e-learning materials developed for the professional, effective, and continuous improvement of healthcare professionals in the field of wound care.
  • Wound care guidelines and standards – documents developed to help ensure consistent, high-quality, and evidence-based wound care practices.
  • E-learning platform with a digital course – created to provide access to representatives of various education sectors (vocational training, higher education, adult education institutions, and NGOs) to ensure the availability of knowledge.
  • International cooperation activities – enhanced synergies between healthcare institutions, higher education institutions, vocational training organisations, and NGOs in Europe and beyond, including cooperation with Ukraine.
  • Dissemination of experience through workshops and symposiums – at the end of the project, 16 representatives from each partner country will share their experience at a minimum of three events, ensuring the use and continuity of the results.

Added value

The project will provide Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija/Higher Education Institution with the opportunity to develop innovative teaching methods, particularly in the areas of virtual reality and e-learning, and will strengthen the quality of study content in the fields of healthcare and nursing. At the national level, it will contribute to strengthening the competencies of wound care specialists and create accessible, standardized training resources and digital tools. In the context of the European Union, the project will promote cross-sectoral cooperation between higher education, vocational training, healthcare institutions, and NGOs, thus ensuring the dissemination of knowledge and the widespread adoption of innovations.
