The project aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education to create flexible opportunities by initiating an accredited GREEN ENTERPRISE modular course for professionals working with deaf and hard of hearing people. In particular, ENTRE-GREEN4DEAF is pioneering the development of an EU LANGUAGE FOR GREEN ENTERPRISES, while initiating the establishment of ENTREGREEN LIVING HUBs to promote modular courses on entrepreneurship and green competences for deaf and hard of hearing students.
Goal
Developing new pedagogical tools for deaf entrepreneurship-green programmes by setting up GREENENTRE LIVING HUBs in Higher Education Institutions, in synergy with the labour market.
Results and outcomes
Project results:
- GreenEntre4DEAF Living Hub – a collaboration platform created for sharing experiences, tools, and learning materials on green entrepreneurship for deaf people and other vulnerable groups.
- Competence Framework – a system of knowledge, skills, and attitudes defining the competencies needed to work with people with hearing impairments in green professions.
- Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) – an online course for youth workers, comprising interactive modules on the green economy, sustainability, and additional innovative tools (e.g., augmented reality).
- GreenEntre4DEAF Curriculum – engaging training content for teachers, students, vocational training specialists, and educators working with young people.
- Digital Escape Rooms – gamified learning tools that encourage sustainable behavior change and engage young people.
- Virtual reality simulations and mobile app – innovative technological solutions that enable the inclusion of deaf and other young people in practical, experiential learning.
- Animated videos – visually appealing tools for raising awareness of climate change and disseminating project ideas to the general public.
Added value:
The GREENENTRE4DEAF project will provide Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija/Higher Education Institution with an opportunity to strengthen its experience in the areas of entrepreneurship education and social inclusion, especially when working with young people with hearing impairments and socially vulnerable groups. At the national level, the project will contribute to the introduction of innovative teaching methods in Lithuanian higher education and vocational training institutions, promoting sustainable employment and social integration. At the European Union level, it will strengthen cross-border cooperation, create transferable green skills training tools (MOOCs, VR simulations, digital escape rooms), and enrich the education community with knowledge and practice on the green economy and inclusion.
