Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy studies make it possible to train specialists able to help people restore, maintain and enhance their activities of daily living (ADLs) after illness, injury, or in the presence of various functional impairments. During their studies, theoretical knowledge and practical skills are combined, grounded in evidence-based practice and contemporary rehabilitation methods.

The programme stands out for its focus on modern, patient-centred care aimed at improving quality of life, its international outlook, and opportunities to take part in ‘Erasmus+’ exchange programmes. Students gain not only professional knowledge but also the practical skills needed to work with patients of different ages and needs in various fields of healthcare and rehabilitation.

Specialist subjects are taught by experienced practitioners in occupational therapy and rehabilitation, who share real clinical experience and help students better understand the specifics of professional practice and its application in real situations.

What makes the programme distinctive

The Occupational Therapy study programme focuses on the application of modern, evidence-based practice and on developing the professional competences needed to organise work on both an independent and a team basis. During their studies, considerable attention is given to planning individualised interventions, restoring the patient’s everyday functioning, and improving quality of life.

The programme stands out for its close cooperation with healthcare and rehabilitation institutions, where students complete their professional placements, gain real clinical experience and become familiar with various fields in which occupational therapy is applied. Placement venues provide the opportunity not only to develop professional skills, but also to integrate more easily into the labour market after graduation.
