Name of the placement:
Pre-primary Education Placement
Activities during the placement: During the Pre-Primary Education placement, students’ activities are focused on observing and analysing the teacher’s work and children’s behaviour. Trainees observe the work of the pre-primary education teacher, and analyse the planning of the education process, the application of methods, the organisation of work, and the teacher’s communication with children. Based on their observations, they prepare a pedagogical-psychological profile of a selected child, assessing the child’s social, emotional and cognitive abilities and identifying areas of strength and areas for improvement. Different manifestations of children’s behaviour are also analysed, with a view to linking them to the particular features of family upbringing. In this analysis, students form hypotheses about how family upbringing methods, values and communication patterns affect children’s behaviour in a group, and their social and emotional development. Practical activities allow students to deepen their theoretical knowledge and develop skills important for future teachers.
