Software Systems

The ‘Software Systems’ programme is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to learn how to create programs, websites or even their own apps. During their studies, students gain practical programming skills and learn how various systems are developed and operate, and how data is managed; students study not only theory but also solve real tasks that help them better understand the world of IT. These studies develop logical thinking and the ability to solve complex problems – skills that are useful not only in IT, but in everyday life too. On completing their studies, graduates have many employment opportunities both in Lithuania and abroad. You can choose the direction that appeals to you most – programming, building systems, or managing IT projects. In addition, the knowledge gained allows you to implement your own ideas and create your own projects or business.

What makes the programme distinctive

The ‘Software Systems’ programme is designed to train highly qualified specialists capable of professionally developing, implementing and maintaining software systems that ensure the smooth, secure and reliable operation of digital solutions. In addition to developing technical skills, the programme places considerable emphasis on problem-solving, project management and collaboration, so that graduates can successfully adapt to an ever-changing labour market. This is precisely what makes the Software Systems programme distinctive: it is not limited to developing programming skills alone – students learn to see the whole life cycle of a software system, from needs analysis and solution design through to implementation, maintenance and improvement.
